BURP 1 is sick...again!

Burp 1 - AKA my mom is sick again with a horrendous sore throat and laryngitis. She cannot talk, so phone calls to discuss business just doesn't happen, I get more frustrated in what she is trying to say that I just give up :) But hopefully she will be better SOON, this one woman show (business) isn't working out for me so much. I did however, get my iPhone, so now I am connected 24/7! Like I need to be, but nonetheless, I am in LOVE with my new toy! My husband got one too, and we sat on the couch together last night...in silence as we "played" with our new phones. Talk about funny! So hopefully our lives will continue on like normal with these new "leashes" on our lives. As far as BURP stuff goes, we are trying to match all our brochures and catalogs to our new website and get ready for our 2 expos we have coming up in 2 weeks. Stay tuned for more new product to hit the web soon and for our new Twitter look :)

Frozen Lemonade Pie....MMmmmm

I made this for 4th of July and it was a real winner! Even if you don't like lemons you will like this - its more lemonade taste than lemons...if that makes sense :) And with the warm berries on top...oh my ...killer! Try it!
FOR THE CRUST
2 cups graham crackers crumbs
1/4 cup sugar
7 T butter melted
FOR THE FILLING
2 cups heavy cream
1 14oz can sweetened condensed milk, chilled
1 6oz can frozen lemonade concentrate, do not thaw
FOR THE TOPPING
1 cup blueberries
1 cup raspberries/blackberries
2T sugar
1T fresh lemon juice
1. Preheat oven 350
2. Make crust, combine graham crackers, sugar and melted butter. Press firmly on the bottom and up the sides of a 9inch pie plate. Bake for 7 min - cool completely
3.Make filling, in cold bowl whip cream until stiff peaks form. In another bowl, stir together the condensed milk and frozen lemonade. Gently fold the lemonade mixture into the whipped cream. Pour the filling into the crust. FREEZE overnight!
4. Make topping before you serve - toss berries in sugar and lemon juice and heat/stir until combined and bubbly.
5. Pour warm berries on top of frozen pie slice...heaven!

The 3 C's -Cute Creative and Cheap!

So - I had another "Martha" moment and made the cutest centerpieces for our 4th of July party! I used 3 wine glasses that had red swirls on them, filled them with water and blue rocks and arranged fresh cut flowers from yard in each glass with an American flag sticking out of each. They looked so cute....especially with my family photo place mats! I am just getting so creative lately..ha! Anyhoos - enjoy the pictures!

We will most likely have a sample in the next month so stay tuned for release dates!
Rylynn is feeling much better and continues to drink her fluids and is getting better each day! So we are finally on the mends.
I have not picked up my fabulous new place mats from Kinkos yet, but when I do I will be including a picture of them on our blog :)

Night In ER!

Our poor little Rylynn spent her first time in the ER/hospital last night! She had had the stomach flu along with all of us but unfortunately with her she became way to dehydrated. So her Doctor told us to take her in - 5 hours later last night we found out she does NOT have the roto virus and to just keep giving her liquids! She loves fruit punch poweraid and that is about it - so fruit punch it is. She is such a sad little sack, just walking around aimlessly and so tired looking. We are praying she will be her spunky self in no time! Here is a picture of her snuggling her "yummy" - which of course is our organic bamboo velour blankie! She takes it everywhere...even the ER!

We will keep you all updated, thank you for your prayers last night!

I was Martha Stewart today!

We just started having my daughter (18mth) Rylynn sit at the BIG table with us in her chair. I knew I needed to start using place mats rather than tablecloths since they got dirty in 30 sec! So I knew my husband was not going to be happy if I went out and bought MORE up to date fashionable placemats.....SO....I came up with my own clever inexpensive design! Rylynn loves looking at family member photos and so why not make a place mat out of photos? I used my cute scrap book paper and combined 2 sheets that coordinated together and then I arranged and taped about 6 photos on each. After I had made Rylynn her special one (included ALL family members even our pets) then I took them to Kinkos to laminate! I know... isn't this the coolest? Well... I thought so and just had to share with you all! I will take a picture later today so you can see "Martha" at work!
